This Smoked Bacon Cheese Burger is on the menu at my house more than any other food! Cooking them takes longer, but the added flavor is well worth the wait. You get a delicious smokey flavor while also being able to keep the Smoked Bacon Cheese Burger super moist. You’ll have everyone saying these are the best they’ve ever had!
Arrange tomatoes, pickles and bacon on the platter along side the grilled onion so everyone can add the toppings of their choice along with ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.
Cooking these Smoked Bacon Cheese Burgers on my Traeger is the only way I grill burgers anymore. The Traeger makes it so easy. They come out perfect every time with out ever needing to watch them.
Traeger Bacon Cheese Burgers
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef 80% lean 20% fat
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1.25 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- cheddar cheese sliced
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 tomato sliced
- green leaf lettuce
Instructions

In mixing bowl add ground beef

In separate bowl add dry ingredients and mix together, and add to meat.

Mix together well and divide into 4 parts and make into patties

Turn smoker onto smoke setting (150-180) Place a piece of foil on the grill

Place the four patties on the foil and close lid. Smoke for 2 hours

Open lid add cheese and close lid. Allow cheese to melt then remove
